We recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of information entrusted to us by our clients and are committed to upholding this responsibility.
Protecting Your Information
Emerging Investigations maintains rigorous security policies and practices in our facilities and across our systems to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access, inappropriate disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our security measures include, but are not limited to, encryption, physical access security, and other relevant technologies. We continually review and enhance our security systems as necessary. Any personnel failure to maintain the confidentiality of private information is subject to a strict disciplinary process. Our team members are required to acknowledge their understanding and receipt of Emerging Investigations‘ policies and procedures regarding confidentiality obligations. We do not release private information to the general public, nor do we compile or distribute mailing lists or consumer marketing data based on information received from clients. Furthermore, we do not modify or correct information obtained from other persons or organizations, as it is not prepared by Emerging Investigations.

We obtain information as instructed by our clients from either the subject individual or reputable sources. Such information is obtained and disclosed in accordance with appropriate written authorizations, for purposes including underwriting and servicing insurance policies and other legitimate purposes authorized by law. We handle this information in line with our clients’ instructions, the written authorizations, our contracts with clients, and applicable law. We do not share information obtained for one client with other clients, unless authorized by the subject’s permission.

Authorized by our clients, Emerging Investigations acts as their representative in obtaining information on individuals, which may include:

- Family history
- Lifestyle character
- General reputation
- Habits, including alcohol and drug use
- Driving records
- Marital status
- Death records
- Civil and criminal court records
- Past and present employment and job duties
- Finances
- Other insurance coverage

Sources of such information can be various governmental agencies, medical facilities, independent consumer reporting agencies, and other information exchange organizations or individuals provided for personal and business references.
Opting Out
Emerging Investigations does not use the information it obtains on behalf of its clients for any internal purposes. Therefore, if an individual wishes to opt out of having their information used for any purpose, they should address this directly with our client when providing authorization to release information. In cases where Emerging Investigations makes a direct inquiry, individuals can opt out by simply declining to provide the requested information. Otherwise, we only gather and disclose information as authorized by the subject’s written consent obtained by our clients.
Notice to All Users
The use of our systems is strictly limited to authorized Emerging Investigations users and may be monitored for administrative and security reasons. By using the system, all users expressly consent to such monitoring. System use must comply with all Emerging Investigations policies and applicable laws. Unauthorized users or unauthorized use of the system will subject the user to criminal and civil penalties under applicable laws.
